Westwood in fitness fight

Coventry goalkeeper Keiren Westwood will undergo a fitness test on Friday to determine whether he lines up to face Hull. The Republic of Ireland stopper pulled a hip muscle in the 4-1 home defeat to Bristol City last Saturday before being replaced by Danny Ireland, who also finished the game with a similar problem himself. Both missed Tuesday`s 1-1 draw at Doncaster, with third-choice Michael Quirke stepping in. Ireland is ruled out ahead of this weekend but Westwood is battling to be involved and City`s medical staff will make a decision ahead of the game, with Quirke again on standby. Manager Aidy Boothroyd will check on sidelined striker Clive Platt (calf) but defender Richard Wood is expected to be okay despite taking a couple of blows at the Keepmoat Stadium. Marlon King serves the second game of his four-match ban for the red card received against the Robins, while captain Lee Carsley (Achilles and hernia) and centre-back Ben Turner (knee) continue to miss out.
