Current Coventry City CEO Tim Fisher has said that SISU are close to purchasing a site within the next three to four weeks in order to build a new stadium

Speaking to BBC Coventry & Warwickshire's Stuart Linnell , Tim Fisher said: We have a specific site which I am not prepared to go into for commercial reasons but we are in the closing stages of buying it which we expect to buy in the region of the next three to four weeks.

"We are quitely comfortable if not confident that working with our agents and stadium team the offering we put up will fulfill any planning arrangements that come up.   

"The new stadium will not be in the juristriction of Coventry City Council."

Also speaking about the new stadium, Fisher confirmed that the Jimmy Hill Statue, Garden of Remembrance and Bricks in the wall will be all be accommodated in our thinking and said that "I'm sure ACL will not want to get in an emotional arguement with the fans over them. They are all important to us and are agenda points 3,4 and five."
