Well Done Football League
One Man's View Yesterday you exceeded yourselves and shown that the Football League as an organisation has the backbone of a jellyfish. Your slogan Real Football, Real Fans has been shown up for the absolute sham that it is. Real fans do not matter, big hedge funds with sharp lawyers do matter considerably more. You have allowed the football club of Coventry to be prostituted for the princely sum of one million pounds, and in doing so you have left the door wide open for any other Football club with eyes on the money to uproot the fans football club and take them any where they see fit. YOU should have told Sisu/Otium to get back to ACL and come to an agreement, the Chief Exec Tim Fisher has said on the radio this morning that he will be ignoring the advice from Greg Clarke to resolve the situation!! What is the Football League''s view on that stance?? You should have instructed independent mediators to resolve this issue, but no you just stand by limply moaning the season is only a few weeks away, maybe you should have got your fingers out months ago!!!!!! Sisu have beat YOU as well at the game, all they are doing is playing a waiting game for ACL to go bust and guess what they will step in and buy the Ricoh, hence why they needed the up to five year deal at Northampton. What about the elderly fans who even if they wanted to travel to Northampton, cannot because of ill health or simply being unable to do the 70 mile round trip? The reality is that some of them will die before they see CCFC return to the city, if we ever do. You should hang your heads in shame, you have truly let the fans down and your ineptness has been nothing short of a disgrace. I sincerely hope that the Government intervene in this mess and actually govern yourselves and make changes for the good of football, as you have shown that you cannot even abide the rules you set yourselves.
