City change training plans Saturday's home Championship game between Coventry City and Middlesbrough is still on at the moment despite the bad weather and the grounds staff are working hard to keep the pitch in playable condition. But, Fortress Ryton training ground is not usable so the players are having to train indoors. However the ground staff are hopeful of getting the covers off the training ground so the squad van have an outdoors session at some time today. The weather has affected City's training programme this week when the players were forced to train inside yesterday, although they hoped to get the covers off at Ryton for a session outside today.// ');// ]]>Boothroyd explained to the CT: "The groundsmen have been assessing the pitch. They have had the covers on but we have got plenty of people in the city who are willing to accommodate us in doors should we need to, and we will if we have to.""Sometimes it is a good thing because it is an opportunity to get a bit of cross training in and it does them good to do less weight bearing work in the pool because you can work people extra hard and they don't realise it, so it can do them more good than they think and so sometimes it can be a blessing."
