We Need To Play For 90 Minutes - Cranie

Cranie on the need to play the whole game Coventry City defender Martin Cranie has said that the Sky Blues need to play for ninety minutes rather than forty-five.Cranie, who admitted responsibility for Swansea's second goal on Tuesday night told the CT: "We came in 1-0 down at half-time and the gaffer had a chat with the lads and said we are a lot better than that and to show a bit more character. And to be fair, the boys did very well in the second half when the work rate was there and we were unfortunate not to win the game."We started pushhing them more all over the pitch rather than sitting off them, right from the defence through to the strikers, so we were on edge of their 18 yard box rather than playing in front of ours."But we need to do that for ninety minutes because it is not a 45 minute game. After the game, the manager said he was happy with the second half but we are not going to win games playing like that."We have got to start like that and play the whole game that way and if we do that we should win some games easy. We want to put things right against Bristol. We had a good start to the season but Tuesday was our second defeat, so we have to go into the next game determined to play like we did in the second half and if we do that I am sure we will be fine."Picture copyright of Covsupport News Service.
