Thorn on trying to preserve points

Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that his players need to keep a cool head when winning.

A number of times this season, City have been leading in second half stoppage time but not take the full amount of points and the City boss feels that has to stop.

Speaking to the CT's Alan Poole, Thorn said: "It's about managing games and running the clock down but there have been times when we have had people sprinting to take throw-ins when we're winning 1-0 and going into injury time.

"We're trying to teach them how important it is that they keep cool heads.

"We just keep hammering home the point by working on it again and again and hopefully the penny will drop."
