We lack consistency - Boothroyd

Coventry boss Aidy Boothroyd said his players were lacking the consistency needed to haul them up the table. The Sky Blues remain in dangerous territory - seven points from the drop zone - and have picked up one win in their last 16 Championship outings after slipping to a 1-0 defeat at home to Hull. They caused the Tigers problems from set-plays but never looked like scoring, and Boothroyd said: "It is about consistency, it is about responsibility and it is about accountability. "The first half was just a lacklustre game and whether it is the backlog of recovery from Tuesday I don't know but it is the same for Hull. "We can make excuses like bad luck or when players get injured and suspended but it gives other players the opportunity to step up and play. If we are consistent we will win more games. "It is disappointing, annoying, irritating, all those words and it boils down to being consistent and doing your job. We mustn't feel sorry for ourselves."
