City Ladies Boss Feels His Team Have Enough To Avoid Relegation

Chris Holloway is confident that Coventry City Ladies will have enough quality to edge clear of the relegation zone, ahead of what he calls the ‘’most crucial’’ stage of the season.

The Sky Blues host Manchester City this Sunday, before facing two further home matches against Portsmouth and Barnet, who occupy the bottom two places below City. Despite his positive outlook regarding the next few weeks, Holloway has confessed that he is still concerned about being sucked into a relegation battle, as the season heads into the final straight.

‘’I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t looking over my shoulder at the league table, however we are only four points off Aston Villa in fourth, so it’s very tight. If we put together one or two wins, we will fly up the table,’’ admitted the City boss.

‘’I’m confident that we can get a good result at Manchester City, so that could set us up nicely for Portsmouth at home,’’ he added. ‘’We had a tough game against them (Manchester City) in the FA Cup recently, but I feel we are altogether more mentally and physically prepared for the task ahead.’’
