Former City Chairman hits back Coventry City could have had Andy Carroll and Jordan Henderson but were prevented from doing so, says former City Chairman Ray Ranson. Speaking to BBC Coventry & Warwickshire on Sky Blue Interactive, Mr Ranson said that he could have bought Carroll for £1m and taken Jordan Henderson on loan from Sunderland but was not given the funds to do so. Mr Ranson, whose departure from the club has been greeted by mixed views from the City support, also said that he had learned to love the club and urged City supporters to turn up for the home game against Watford, who have also been taken over.
