We want Thorn - Baker Coventry City midfielder Carl Baker has joined those supporting Andy Thorn for the role of manager's job or what ever job Thorn would be allowed as he does not have any coaching badges at Coventry City by saying that the players love playing for him. "Thorny has got to take a lot of credit because he's been superb with the lads and we all love playing for him," said Baker to the CT's Andy Turner."We have got the same players we have had all season but he's got us playing with so much confidence and just getting the best out of everyone individually and the results have been good so far."The formation suits the players we have got, it is as simple as that. "He likes the front three to stay up the pitch, which is what QPR have done all season, and it's working because we have scored a lot of goals since Thorny has come in. "Obviously we have conceded a few and we need to work on that but we look like scoring every time we go forward."He added: "He's had a tough start and must have looked at it going to Burnley, Derby and Portsmouth away, which are really tough fixtures but I am really pleased for him because he is a great fella' and Steve Harrison has been vital as well. "He's got great experience in the game and it's a great partnership."And such is the mood in the camp, Baker and his team-mates can't wait to get back on home soil and continue their march up the table."I am glad we have got a couple of home games - and winnable ones - coming up so we can push back up to where we deserve to be," said the 28-year-old, who is confident City are clear of any trouble now."To be honest I haven't even been looking below us because I still want to push up the table and get as many wins as possible. "The lads haven't spoken about it and have never even contemplated that situation, and we feel we're safe now."We always believed in ourselves that we would get out of it and hopefully we can kick on now with the last five games."
