Coleman tempted to stay with new formation Coventry City manager Chris Coleman is tempted to try again with the 3-5-2 formation, which saw the Sky Blues gain a point at The Riverside last week, in the last game of the season at home to Watford. Using Stephen Wright and Michael McIndoe as wing-backs to feed Freddie Eastwood in his natural role as striker, Coleman hopes to see his side get among the goals for the first time this season. Coleman has to get the best out of a side reduced by injuries and the 3-5-2 formation is seen as the best way of utilising the player he has at his disposal. Coleman was happy with the performance of his team at Middlesbrough. especially as they had little experience of playing the 3-5-2 formation, “I was pleased with the formation at Boro because we had only worked on it for two days beforehand and, full credit to the players, they adapted to it very quickly,” said the City boss. “It was a difficult place to go, but we coped very well. We made the pitch as big as we could, we had long periods when we were in possession and we were brave with the ball. We created a few chances in the second half and I thought we were the better team on the day." "We had a better spring in our step than them and at the end we were disappointed that we hadn’t won the game. I don’t really want to change it because I was quite impressed, but it will depend on who is available because we have got one or two little bumps and bruises.  Freddie Sears is not going to be ready by the looks of it, he trained with the physio yesterday and he’s limping a little bit so I think he will struggle. "Carl Baker hasn’t trained this week because his back is sore, so we will have to monitor him. Freddy did well at Boro and I think he enjoyed it because if the way we played." Eastwood has also  been carrying a back injury for some time, but has played the last few games despite being in some discomfort. Coleman continued, “Sometimes when you are desperate to score that anxiety comes out in your play, you make a mistake with an easy pass and you lose confidence. So we just tried to settle the lads down a bit and that suited Freddy, he was always at the heart of it all and found plenty of space for himself." “Sometimes he got into positions where he would normally have a shot and he turned it down for some reason, but Middlesbrough were never comfortable with him. He had a good run just before Christmas when he was playing and scoring before he picked up a bit of an injury and it has been a bit stop-start since then. "He got another 90 minutes under his belt and looked good. For me, he has definitely been more effective this year than last, and I am hoping that he will progress again next season.”
