Ward has been out for four weeks following minor knee surgery but played 20 minutes of last weekend's 3-2 defeat to Preston at Deepdale. He also played 90 minutes in a reserve match on Monday night and the 24-year-old former West Ham man feels ready to make a full return to first-team action - should Chris Coleman call upon his services "I am not expecting a start, but you are always hopeful," Ward told the Coventry Telegraph. "I will just work hard in training and see what happens. "I think I am fit to start a game now I have got a reserve game under my belt. "I was tired in stages and it was one of the toughest 90 minutes I have had, but it was just what I needed to get myself back in to it."
