Aston Villa are being reported as close to taking former Coventry City forward Robbie Keane on a two month loan.
Talks with the Republic Of Ireland captain who is playing for LA Galaxy are being described as 'productive' with regards to a two month loan deal which will cost Villa £500,000.
Keane has been training with Spurs in a bid to keep up his fitness and if all goes to plan, he could make his debut for Villa on January 14th against Everton, who have taken another LA Galaxy player Landon Donovan on loan.
