Sky Blue Trust Latest

Members of the Sky Blue Trust Board have held meetings separately with ACL and CCFC Directors Tim Fisher and Mark Labovitch in which questions have been put to both parties.

ACL have provided written answers to our questions and a further meeting is being held with Mark Labovitch to complete the process with the CCFC side. We are therefore not yet at a point where we can provide an account of the two sets of responses. In the meantime, you may already be aware that the issue is being raised in Parliament today - http://www.coventrycity-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/city_rent_row_to_be_debated_in_parliament_787168/index.shtml- by Coventry North East MP, Bob Ainsworth, with whom the Trust has discussed the current situation.

You may also have seen in a national newspaper today an article saying Tim Fisher is stating that there may be no option but administration/liquidation - http://www.coventrycity-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/city_heading_for_administrationliquidation_787256/index.shtml. Given the above, the Trust is going to restate its call for both parties to agree to binding arbitration and has secured the agreement of world renowned football management expert Dr John Beech to act as arbitrator. While this is our preferred approach we wish to explore all possible avenues so a mediation process may also be possible.

In addition, we will continue to work closely with Supporters Direct, who provide advice and assistance to Trusts and with whom we held a lengthy meeting last Friday, as to our options should the threat of administration/liquidation be realised.  Oh for the days when supporting CCFC was about 11 players and not a lot else...
