Trust Comment On Decision By Joe Elliott to Give Up His Life Presidency

The Sky Blue Trust has expressed its great disappointment at the news that Joe Elliott has resigned as Coventry City life president. A spokesman for the Trust said "Joe is Sky Blue through and through and has made a massive contribution to the club over many years. For a man who is so passionate about the football club to take this step shows what a sadly desperate situation the club owners have put us in. The Trust hopes that this move will not impact on the tremendous work Joe has done for many years for both the Diamond Club and Sky Blues in the Community and that he will continue the commendable effort he has made in supporting local charities and promoting both the city of Coventry and Coventry City. It is now vital that Sky Blues in the Community which is an independent charity operating out of the Alan Higgs Centre remains in its true home of Coventry with the involvement of Joe and other likeminded people  who, unlike the owners,  care about the city and its supporters.
