Transfer Embargo To Be Lifted In the Next Week - Clouting
Clouting on Embargo Coventry City CEO Paul Clouting has said that he is hopeful that the transfer embargo which the club is currently under will be lifted either by the end of this week or the start of next week. Speaking at the Fans Forum tonight, Mr Clouting said that the embargo had been put upon the club following a disagreement between City and a club which he refused to name. He said that part of the embargo had been lifted after agreement had been reached with the club. The second part of the Embargo concerns the late filing of accounts with Companies House and Mr Clouting said that this had now been filed two Thursdays ago. Due to this, the Football League had requested interim accounts and Mr Clouting went on to say that information will be supplied to the Football League this week and he was hopeful that the full embargo would be lifted at the end of this week or early next week.
