Former Coventry City captain Tim Sherwood is, according to The People, being offered wages of £35k a week plus a £1m bonus to take over the Blackburn Rovers hot-seat.

Blackburn are looking for a new manager following the forced resignation of former City coach Steve Kean on Friday night, and are understood to be making an approach for Sherwood who has been working for Tottenham Hotspur, but could be allowed by AVB to leave.

The current Blackburn caretaker manager is former City manager Eric Black.
