Tierney To Have His Coventry First

Referee Appointed The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's Championship game at Reading on Saturday is Paul Tierney from Lancashire. Paul got into refereeing after seeing a poster advertising a referees course at a sports centre. He was appointed to the Referees list in 2008 and has had 16 matches so far this season and has issued 55 yellow cards and two red. This will be his fourth Championship game this season and the sixth of his career. He has not refereed a City or Reading game before. The Assistants are Gary Jerden from Essex & Tim Robinson from West Sussex. The Fourth Official is Simon Knapp from Bristol.
