Three Still Out

Deegan, Clarke and Platt still nursing injuries Coventry City will again be without Gary Deegan, Jordan Clarke and Clive Platt for the second successive pre-season game. The trio will miss tonight's game at Hinckley United, having missed the 2-2 draw at Nuneaton, with Gary Deegan having a slight thigh strain, Jordan Clarke a knee injury that he picked up during the week's training in Portugal and Clive Platt who has a slight strain. Speaking to the CT about the trio, City boss Andy Thorn said: "Gary Deegan hasn't quite recovered. "He trained on Friday then felt it on Saturday morning so missed the Nuneaton game. He started training again on Monday but wisely stopped as a precaution as he could feel it again. "When you have been out for so long, you can get secondary injuries but that's par for the course." Speaking about Jordan Clarke, Thorn said: "Clarkey is back running and twisting and turning, so I imagine we will be looking at getting him a game on Saturday." Then on Platt, Thorn said: "Platty has a slight strain so he'll be out for three or four days but it gives me a chance to play one or two of the younger boys and have another look at them."
