Thorn targets three points from Seagulls

City boss wants more of the same.

Andy Thorn  has  said he wants to see more of the same attitude and performance from his side that saw them earn a point against Cardiff and narrow defeats to West Ham and Southampton.

Speaking to the club's official website, Thorn  expressed the hope that his side could return from their trip to Brighton with all three points. The Seagulls started the season well and for a time were in the top two, but in recent weeks their form has taken a dip and have won just once in their last eleven Championship games.

Although his side have only picked up one point from their last three games, Thorn is encouraged by the work ethic and performances of his players. The three games have all been against the top three sides in the Championship, Southampton West Ham and Cardiff and it was difficult to see which team was in the bottom three places and which team s were chasing automatic promotion.

Thorn is confident that with his team playing well and the dip in form that Brighton have suffered, Coventry can return from The Amax Stadium on Saturday with a valuable three points.

Speaking to the club's official website, Thorn said, "It is important we keep our heads up and keep playing to the standard we have seen in the last couple of weeks. We have been really impressive but haven't necessarily got all the results we wanted.

"I was disappointed we only got one point out of the three games as our performances deserved more. Everyone has been frustrated at the results recently and we are the same but the standard of performance and everything else we have been looking at, has been really high.

"We got to carry it on and make sure it isn't just because it was  against the top three teams we played well. Our performances have to be up against body and it will be a good opportunity at the weekend.

"If we can do everything right, then we can get the three points we desperately need."
