Thorn promises his side will not give up

City boss says luck will turn Andy Thorn has spoken again about the defeat his side suffered at the hands of Crystal Palace last Tuesday and says their luck will turn soon. To lead for nearly half of the game only to lose to two very late goals was hard for the City players, particularly the younger ones to take and Thorn has moved to console them and reassure them that they are worthy of wearing the Sky Blue shirt. Thorn  missed the post match media interviews and sent head coach to face them instead while he remained in the dressing room to talk to his young charges. He said, “It was a difficult evening and they needed reassuring. I’ve suffered defeats like that and I know that first time it happens to you it’s a gut-wrenching experience." “They’d got nothing to be ashamed of, that’s for sure, but it takes an emotional toll on people and that’s why we had a good chat, but you have to get on with it and everybody was really at it in training on Thursday morning." "That’s the reaction you want, and it’s even better when you get it from such young lads. We’ve got faith in these boys; we can see what they are capable of achieving and it’s just getting them there as quickly as possible. " "They are being treated like adults and they are growing up quickly. The team spirit is good and it has been the whole way through. We have to keep going and we are all looking forward to the Watford game because we know we are not far away. I know it’s going to come, I know our luck will turn, and there is still a great atmosphere about the place.”
