It is an honour and privilege says Thorn Andy Thorn has been quick to praise head coach and right hand man Steve Harrison for his hard work and commitment to the club after the pair were given new contracts with Coventry City. Thorn was appointed as Coventry's tenth manager in ten years yesterday and Steve Harrison was confirmed as head coach and assistant manager. Thorn said, “Steve Harrison has also been offered a new contract which is great for me because it is a massive part of what we do. I hold Steve in really high esteem. He was my coach when we were at Palace having a lot of success and is one of the best coaches I’ve ever worked with, so it is all good. I am very proud and it’s a very nice moment for us." "We have worked hard and come a long way in a short space of time, and that’s credit to everyone at the club and it is time to kick on now because no-one will be resting on their laurels, that’s for sure. It is an honour and privilege to accept the offer and I’m looking forward to it." "It means everything to me and has done from the minute I took up the caretaker’s role. I have been at the club for three years now and it’s about time we moved on.  This club means a lot to me. Things grow on you and this club certainly has and I just want to go on and be as successful as I can now." “It has been a difficult period of games but the players have responded to what we wanted to do. The whole the club needed a lift and it has had that both on and off the pitch and hopefully we are going in the right direction now.”
