Thorn hails players` response

Andy Thorn has given his seal of approval to Coventry`s impressive points return from his six games since taking charge of team affairs. Thorn, aided by Steve Harrison, took over from Aidy Boothroyd in mid-March with the Sky Blues having collected a measly eight points from a possible 48 over their previous 16 matches. But Saturday`s 2-1 victory at home to Millwall made it 11 points from 18 for Thorn and Harrison, who have guided City to all but mathematical Championship safety. Thorn said: "We have had three wins, two draws and one defeat and I would have settled for that when I took charge. I think we have lifted everybody as well. "It's important we gave everybody something to cheer about. I thought the supporters were really great (on Saturday); they really got behind us and I am sure they will have enjoyed it even though it was a bit nail-biting at times." He added: "I really believe in this group of players. They are answering every question we are throwing at them."
