They Think It's All Over

More from the Coventry City South African Supporters Club … well it is now - for us in Cape Town.Huge Dutch support last night and an estimated 500 000 people in Cape Town either at the game or at the various Fan Fest sites. The Fan Walk was chokka-blok - took us an hour longer to walk the 2,4 km from the station to the stadium, but there was so much going on along the way that it didn't matter. Strangely though, the attendance of around 62 500 was the lowest of the eight games held in Cape Town. So, no victory for South America is possible - come on Europe! - and if Spain beats Germany then we will have a new first-time winner. But having watched the Germany v Argentina match followed by last night's game, I can't see Holland beating Germany with the tactics they deployed last night (Kuyt and Robben on 'opposite' wings when both are one-footed and giving van Persie no support at all?!), but they might do better against Spain. We'll soon see.
