Bruck Against City Moving Out Of Coventry

Coventry City old boy Dietmar Bruck has accused Tim Fisher and those involved in the Ricoh Arena rent row which has spiralled out of all proportions with SISU now hell bent on taking the club out of Coventry whilst they build a new stadium, of being like little kiddies.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Dietmar Bruck, a member of the Coventry City Diamond Club and the Coventry City Former Players Association said: “It’s just a crying shame.

“This is my club and always will be, and to see what has happened is unbelievable. It’s like a horror movie.

“We have got a great bunch of supporters and we always have, and the people running the club are out of order really because it’s the fans who are suffering in all this.

“I must have been one of the first to sign the petition because I did it on the first day that the campaign was launched.

"We have got to stay where we are – there must be some way of getting round the table and negotiating.

“They are like little kiddies at the moment – one of the biggest problems is that no-one wants to give in and that’s the worrying thing about it.

“I was at a meeting with Tim Fisher last week with other ex-players and one of the things he said was that we can forget the Ricoh, it’s as simple as that. He said we are not going back to the Ricoh and that put the frighteners on me to be honest.

“I think if they do move then 95 per cent of the fans won’t travel to support the team – why should they?

“It’s worrying and time is getting on. The fixtures are out next week.”
