Squad Rotation Is A Good Option - Thorn

City boss on being able to change things round.

Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that he feels he is now able to rotate his squad.

Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Thorn said: "What is beginning to happen is, because we are playing a certain way at the club, everyone is buying in to that style of play. Everyone knows their jobs on the pitch and you can replace one with another without any problems as everybody is aware of their position in the squad.

"It is good for me as I can begin to rotate, change things around and that's what we did on Tuesday night and we benefited from that. Gael (Bigirimana) came on, took the game by storm and gave us a different dimension as did Cody (McDonald).

"With the age of the boys, it is a learning curve all the time for them. But they learn fast and obviously I was happy with the way Gael (Bigirimana) played at Leeds.

"I think he has benefited from being rested from the team for a while but now he has come back, he is showing some good stuff. I was asked whether I would be scared to bring some of the younger players on at Elland Road but I am glad I did as it has brought them on.

"It was great to be able to bring those players on and it is great to have people coming back into the side and looking to get into the first team.”
