Speculation That McAllister May Lose Villa Role
City Old Boy News Former Coventry City player and manager Gary McAllister may lose his coaching job at Aston Villa, if speculation and rumours are to be believed. There are media reports that Villa 'are currently assessing Gerard Houllier's position after he was forced to miss the last month of the season because of heart problems'. A Villa Supporters Trust official has been quoted by the Press Association as saying that he believes it is "almost certain" that manager Gerard Houllier will leave the club this summer. If that were to happen, where that would leave McAllister, who was brought in by Houllier and deputised for him during the Frenchman's absence from work, at this moment in time is pure speculation.
