According to a number of sites, Southampton could loan City an unwanted player as part of their bid to get Lukas Jutkiewicz on loan by Thursday when the loan window closes.
The Saints want Jutkiewicz on a £3m deal but can only sign him when the transfer window re-opens on January 1st.
Site such as Fan Network are reporting that the likes of Dan Harding, Ryan Dickson, Lee Holmes and Danny Butterfield could be using as a bargaining chip in order to bring about the deal.
