Sousa: Swans players need to learn

The nearest either side came to scoring in the Championship clash at the Liberty Stadium was when Darren Pratley struck the base of the Coventry post in the 19th minute.[LNB]That effort aside, Pratley and Nathan Dyer finished waywardly after stirring runs as Swansea remained scoreless despite the late introduction of new signing Shefki Kuqi.[LNB]"It wasn't a good game but they closed all the spaces and it caused us problems," said a disappointed Sousa.[LNB]"A lot of teams come here to defend and today I could see that we need to react more quickly.[LNB]"Not every team will defend as well as they did but we made some bad decisions and must learn to keep possession better."[LNB]Neither side seemed capable of stringing more than a couple of passes together and the biggest cheer of the evening came when stewards attempted to remove a number of standing spectators.[LNB]That was just as unsuccessful as the attacking play on the field but Coventry will be well pleased with a point after being beaten at the Ricoh Arena by the Swans earlier in the season.[LNB]"We must be happier than Swansea taking a point from here," said Coventry manager Chris Coleman.[LNB]"They keep possession well but we have worked tactically over the last few days on how to close them down and the hard work has earned us a point.[LNB]"We hoped to play on the counter-attack but gave the ball away too cheaply but apart from one shot that hit the post, we kept them very quiet.[LNB]"They build well from the back but we frustrated them and stopped them playing.[LNB]"We want to finish as high as possible but to come to Swansea and hang on after losing our last two games by late goals was a big test of character and we came through it well with a strong defensive performance."[LNB]Sousa left midfield schemer Leon Britton out of the squad completely, with the former West Ham trainee looking likely to join former boss Roberto Martinez at Wigan.[LNB]"Leon Britton can now talk to other clubs as he is out of contract at the end of the season," the manager conceded.[LNB]"We want players to give 100 percent focus to the club and under the circumstances I don't know whether he will stay or go.[LNB]"He has played over 300 games for this club and is an important player for us so I would like him to stay."[LNB][LNB]
