Hermann on Alex

Coventry City defender Hermann Hreidarsson has said that there is something special about Alex Nimely.

Speaking about the loanee from Manchester City who is at the Sky Blues for the rest of the season and scored on his debut against Middlesbrough, the Icelander told the CT’s Andy Turner: “Alex Nimely is a clever player. I didn’t know a lot about him before last week. He came for a trial at Pompey three or four years ago but I didn’t really know him. But you can see he has something special and hopefully we can make the most of him and it’s great for him to get a goal on his debut.

“That is vital for a striker and hopefully he can go from strength to strength. He’s not chasing a goal now and now he has just got to show what he can do and if he works hard the goals will drop for him.

“When a striker is that confident he will stick goals away, and if you have his quality then you have got a chance.”
