Sky Blues swoop to sign Hussey

Hussey had been chased by several Championship clubs, but Coventry boss Chris Coleman managed to put up the most persuasive argument to sign the left-back. The 20-year-old will be on loan at the Ricoh Arena until January when he will sign a long-term contract with the Sky Blues. Coleman is delighted to have brought in the former Woking youngster and is optimistic he can eventually make an impact at Championship level. "There has been no secret about the fact that several clubs were trying to sign Chris, so we are delighted he has opted to come to Coventry City," Coleman told the club's official website. "He is a very promising young left-back and we believe he has a bright future with us." Hussey is the Sky Blues' second signing of the day after a three-month loan deal was agreed for Carlisle United's teenage striker Gary Madine.
