Sky Blues Support Sikh Sports Festival
City back Sikh community event Coventry City Football Club were one of the sponsors for the annual Vaisakhi sports day at the Memorial Park in Coventry on Sunday. The event, which has been going since 1991 and celebrates the Sikh New Year, has a football competition which attracted 66 teams as well as other sports including athletics, hockey, rounders and volleyball. An estimate 8,000 attended the event.
