New kit a phenomenal success The retro kit that the Coventry City players are wearing this season to mark the 50th anniversary of the Sky Blue kit introduced by Jimmy Hill has been a phenomenal success according to the club's retail manager Justin Tose. The kit has proved to be one of the most popular replica kits ever offered by the club and have sold more than 7,250 shirts since its introduction. Coventry City have nearly doubled the sales of shirts on this time last year and so stocks are getting limited, but delivery of extra shirts is expected in October. Justin Tose said, "The success of the kit has been nothing short of phenomenal. We've never seen interest like it. It's a great looking kit, there is absolutely no doubt about it, and that has certainly been a key factor in sales." "From the feedback we've received, the fact that it is based on our first ever Sky Blue kit has brought added significance to the strip and fans really seem to have bought into that. We are delighted by the sales and stock on some sizes is quickly being sold so I would urge supporters to make sure they buy a kit now to ensure they don't have to wait for our next batch to arrive in October." He concluded by saying, "We've had great support from partners such as Puma and City Link in creating this kit for the club and our fans and that has really helped to make it such an overwhelming success." The shirts are available Online at www.ccfcshop.co.uk, or in person by visiting the CCFC Superstore at the Ricoh Arena or the City Central store in Coventry City Centre.
