Sky Blues register much-needed win

Struggling Coventry earned their first win in eight matches as they beat Watford 2-0 at the Ricoh Arena. Gary McSheffrey's first-half strike and a Lukas Jutkiewicz effort after the break wrapped up the points for the Sky Blues to ease their relegation worries. A new board of directors was recently installed at the club, but the threat of administration still hangs over them and this win has helped halt a slide towards the bottom four. The breakthrough finally came as Coventry deservedly seized the advantage in the 27th minute. David Bell provided the assist for McSheffrey, who arrowed home an effort from the edge of the box. Watford were made to pay for some wasted chances when substitute Jutkiewicz, on for the ineffective Freddy Eastwood, turned home Aron Gunnarsson's cross with his first touch.
