Sky Blues please Boothroyd

Coventry manager Aidy Boothroyd was delighted as his side moved into the npower Championship play-off places with a 3-0 home victory over Barnsley. Gary McSheffrey scored his second goal in as many games to put the Sky Blues 1-0 up in the ninth minute, and the hosts finished off the game with two goals in the last five minutes from substitutes Carl Baker and Jordan Clarke. Boothroyd said: "I thought we deserved the win overall. Sometimes when substitutes go on it doesn't work all the time but today it worked perfectly. "It was my decision in the end but they were suggestions from (coaches) Martyn Pert and Steve Harrison - one Carl Baker and one Jordan Clarke - so well done to them. "Perhaps you could say I am good listener. "What it shows as a squad is that those who don't start the game are as important and influential, if not more so, than those that do. I am really pleased with that because it's easy to sulk when you are not in the team."
