Sky Blues plan loan additions

Coventry manager Aidy Boothroyd is keen to bring fresh faces to the club when the emergency loan window reopens next week. The Sky Blues boss lost the services of promising youngster Conor Thomas to Liverpool on deadline day, before seeing fellow midfielder Sammy Clingan (knee) pull out in the warm-up ahead of Tuesday`s game against Nottingham Forest and replacement Nathan Cameron (thigh) forced off at half-time. The duo join skipper Lee Carsley and central defenders James McPake and Ben Turner on the sidelines for Saturday`s trip to Leeds as City look to arrest a nine-match winless streak. Boothroyd steered away from any January business as he is happy with his squad when fully fit, but now plans to talk with the powers that be at the Ricoh Arena to get the green light to strengthen his ranks with loan additions. "Yes, I`d like to go into the emergency loan market," he said. "It`s not open until after the weekend but I think that`s something we definitely need to look at and it will be something I`ll be discussing and we`ll decide what we`re going to do." Meanwhile, Coventry's league clash against Burnley at Turf Moor has been rescheduled for Tuesday March 15, 7.45pm kick-off. The Clarets are now in FA Cup fifth-round action when the encounter was originally due to take place on Saturday February 19.
