Sky Blues overlook trialists
Trialists Orlando Smeekes and Kevin Ellegaard have failed to secure contracts with Coventry.
Dutch forward Smeekes spent two weeks with the Sky Blues and has played in all three of their pre-season friendlies, while Danish goalkeeper Ellegaard featured against Nuneaton and Hinckley.
City boss Aidy Boothroyd will continue to monitor the duo but will not be offering them terms for the time being.
"I have made my decision and we are not going to do anything with them for the time being." Boothroyd told the Coventry Telegraph.
"I will continue to monitor them but at this moment in time I have got three or four irons in the fire.
"You have got to look at everything and also keep things bubbling away, as we will do with these two."
