Boothroyd's assement of his injured players Coventry City have missed a few key players this season and it looks as if some of the players will be out for a while yet, although some are closer to a return than others. Striker Freddy eastwood hasd a knee operation a few weeks ago and City boss Aidy Boothroyd said, “Freddy’s operation went well and he’s on schedule. He’s in rehab and his days are long and he’s working very hard to get himself back fit. He’s moving around a little bit better than what he was but we are hoping he will be back in another four weeks. IsaacOsbourne has also had knee problems and had undegone a second operation to try to rectify the problem. The second operation came  ten months after the problem arose with his left knee. "Isaac’s progress is very steady. He’s been and had another operation last week which is not a last chance for him, but the final thing that we think is going to make him right." explained Boothroyd. // '); // ]]> “I don’t know the detail of it but it involves drilling into bone and making the bone bleed to strengthen up the whole joint in general, so Isaac has been very unlucky as I see it.” Chris Hussey, who's broken foot bone is taking a lolng time to heal. Boothroyd blames Hussey's choice of boots for the injury. He said, “He hasn’t healed as quick as we had thought so it has taken a little longer. He has got a metatarsal injury and we are hoping to have him back in training in a couple or three weeks and back involved in some games. Nice posh boots equals metatarsals usuall Stephen O’Halloran's back injury need time to heal properly and he is taking things slowly. He has started light training again with a litle jogging. “Stephen is the most delicate of all of them and we have got to be careful with him because when it is a back injury you can get a lot of secondary and third injuries if you are not quite right,” said Boothroyd. “It is a problem with a disc in his back which we have got to be careful with, but we are very hopeful that we are going to get him back in four to five weeks. He’s a tough boy and he’s been unfortunate to miss out as well.” Gary Deegan is, according to Boothroyd, making “steady progress” with his ankle injury. “He is back running around and kicking a ball about but we don’t want to rush him because he’s not been through this before,” he said. “He rushed himself back and put himself back and this time he is taking his time to make sure he is 100 per cent.”
