But Ranson says additions will be sought in all areas with ability, desire and youth pre-requisites for a place in Coleman's squad.
Ranson told the Coventry Telegraph: "We are talking all the time about players we can bring in and with the vast majority of summer business, we will stick to our principle of bringing in talented, young and hungry players that can all grow with the club.
"But there are one or two wide players on his 'most wanted' list because I think we have all seen this season that when we've had natural width, we have been at our best.
"It can never be a case of the manager saying these are the three or four players we want and that's it because transfer dealings are much more complex than they used to be - so we have several targets in several areas. Supporters will be really excited when they see the players we start to bring in."
