Sky Blues hit by Ireland op blow

The Australian, 18, underwent the operation back home and has lost around two stone in weight following the procedure. Coleman told the Coventry Telegraph: "He had an operation in Australia on his bowel, which was twisted or infected, and he has lost a lot of weight. He's well on the road to recovery now but he's not going to be fit and ready to play again until September/October. "He lost something like 13 kilos which is a lot of weight to lose, especially when you are not carrying any weight to start with. "It was just one of those things. We got the phone call after he had gone back home to see his family in Australia to say he had been in a lot of pain and they got him checked out and he needed surgery, so unfortunately we won't see him for a few months." Ireland was set to go into the new season competing to be back-up to number one Keiren Westwood, but Dimi Konstantopoulos, who is keen to find first-team football elsewhere, is now the club's only other shot stopper.
