Sixteen Year Old Allegedly Assaulted By A City Steward

A complaint we have received We have received an email from a City supporter which alleges that a sixteen year old boy was assaulted by a steward during Coventry City's game with Derby County on Saturday.  It is understood that the boy was sat in his regular seat with those who unfurled a SISU Out banner at the rear of the CT Stand during the game and was assaulted as he attempted to leave the stadium after others including his father were ejected. The email is as follows: "A 16 year old boy who was sat with us, as he does every week, made a decision to leave the game due to others, including his dad being ejected. Now as he was on his way out of the ground, a steward grabbed him by the neck and chucked him out through the gates." The email goes on to say: "This is an issue that as yet hasn't been mentioned anywhere following the game, because it happened out of the public view of the stadium - but this incident alone is a perfect example of the stewards not having any control over what they were doing ejecting anyone who was near them rather than specific people for a specific reason, and the appauling man-handling of completely innocent fans."
