Blades back in for another City striker

As the transfer window draws to a close, the speculation surrounding players grows and grows.

Sheffield United are reported to be interested in making a late bid for Coventry City's striker Leon Clarke.

The Blades had an offer for fellow Coventry City striker Callum Wilson rebuffed last week, but Blades manager David Weir is in need of a striker and with Coventry City in financial trouble, many clubs will think that the Sky Blues will be desperate to sell.

Coventry manager Stephen Pressley has said he does not need to sell players, but did admit that all players had their price and if an offer came in that met their own valuation, he would consider the offer, but he stressed, their valuations of their players is very high and unlikely to be met.
