Scunthorpe v Coventry

26 November 2010 02:42
Scunthorpe United recall Andrew Wright from his loan spell at Grimsby Town because of a defensive injury crisis.Michael Raynes (thigh) and David Mirfin (foot) are out, but The Iron welcome back midfielder Sam Togwell (knee) and defender Eddie Nolan (ankle). [LNB]Coventry's David Bell will be hoping to make the substitutes' bench having recently returned to full training. [LNB]Ben Turner and Sammy Clingan remain sidelined with knee problems, and Stephen O'Halloran (back) is also out. [LNB][LNB] MATCH PREVIEW Scunthorpe have lost their last three matches and are enduring an inexplicably bad run at home, having gone seven matches without a win at Glanford Park. [LNB]They have not managed a victory there since August, and have not even managed a point there since a goalless draw against Barnsley two months ago. But for an impressive five away wins, The Iron would be in the bottom three rather than two places above it. [LNB]They face a Coventry side that also endured a bad run recently, but halted a three-match losing streak with a morale boosting 1-0 home triumph against Burnley last time out. [LNB]Ominously for Scunthorpe, the Sky Blues' three away wins this term have all been against teams currently in the bottom half of the table. Another could take City, who are ninth, back into the play-off places. [LNB][LNB] MATCH FACTS Head-to-head[LNB]• Coventry are making only their third league visit to Scunthorpe.
