Scunthorpe Gate Lowest Of The Season

28 November 2010 10:23
No surprise over low gate. Coventry City 2-0 victory at Scunthorpe United yesterday was watched by the smallest crowd for a Championship game so far this season.Only, 4,397 fans including 561 City supporters made it to Glanford Park on a bitterly cold afternoon after volunteers had cleared the pitch that was protected by covers of snow. Glanford Park has the smallest capacity of any Championship club and will  be even less next season when the ground is forced to close it's home terrace and go all-seater. Scunthorpe's average home gate is 5,280 and their previous lowest was 5,185 against Bristol City.
