Cheltenham have bolstered their attacking options on the eve of the new campaign by recruiting Coventry striker Shaun Jeffers. Jeffers will link up with the Robins as part of a month-long loan deal and will go straight into the squad for Saturday's npower League Two opener at Gillingham. The 18-year-old has been sent out by the Sky Blues to gain first-team experience and he could see his spell at Whaddon Road extended should his initial four-week stint prove successful. Cheltenham boss Mark Yates said: "I've seen him a couple of times and he is a strong boy with bags of potential. He is just over six feet tall, he has strength but mobility as well and he can get goals."
