Former Coventry City Academy Manager Gregor Rioch is the new manager of Wigan Athletic's Academy.
Rioch left the role he had with Coventry City after six and a half years and it comes as no surprise, who went way beyond the call of duty on so many occasions as well as developing players for the first team to earn him a reputation as one of the best Academy coaches in the country, has landed another job within a matter of weeks.
Rioch told the Wigan website: “The potential is here for all to see and this is an amazing opportunity to start shaping the future of the club. I enjoyed my time at Coventry and hopefully I have left the club’s academy in a very healthy state. But now it is time for a fresh challenge.
“Now my focus is on Wigan Athletic and the future of the club. I can’t wait to get started and begin building towards the future.”
