Former City boss takes over at Plymouth Former Coventry City manager Peter Reid  has left his job as assistant to Tony Pulis at Stoke City to take over the vacant manager's job at Plymouth Argyle. Stoke City chairman Peter Coates said of the 54 year old Reid, “I know Tony said to Peter when he came to Stoke that he wouldn’t stand in his way if an offer like this came along." " Peter has been a valuable member of Tony’s management staff over the past season, but there was always the possibility a man with his experience and record would get an offer from somewhere. He has always expressed an interest to return to management if an appropriate opportunity arose, so he would definitely go there with our best wishes.”
