City job is still highly sought after Coventry City chairman Ray Ranson has said the club has received many applications for the vacant managers job. he said they are high calibre applications. After Chris Coleman was sacked a week ago, Mr Ranson has received calls for prospective managers and their agents who are keen to take on the  role of City boss.                       Mr Ranson said, "I have spoken to a number of people but we are not going to rush into anything because this is a decision of vital importance to the club." "The fact that we have had so many managers interested in taking over, and the level of candidates, highlights the fact that the Coventry job is still highly sought after." "There has been a broad range of people in touch but they are all UK based. There are some very good managers out there but, as I said before, we will not take this  decision lightly or rush into anything. "People can see what we are trying to achieve and trying to build. It's our aim to find the right person to take us to the next level."
