Ranson optimistic for next term

Ranson is happy with the progress the club are making, despite the poor run of form at the tail end of the season that has seen the Sky Blues win just one of there last 11 Championship matches. He has blamed the slump on City's chronic injury list - nine players are unavailable - and is backing manager Chris Coleman to build a side that will make a real impact in the league next season. "I believe this shows that we are taking a step in the right direction and with further additions in the summer we believe we can make further improvements next season," Ranson told the club's official website. "Hopefully our supporters will see through what has happened in the last few weeks - the team has been ravaged by injuries - and come along and get their season tickets for next year."
