Quiet Transfer Window Expected

City boss on his squad Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd is expecting a quiet transfer window. The City boss has spent his budget bringing players such as Marlon King, Lee Carsley and Gary McSheffrey as well as backroom staff including Martyn Pert and his own PA to replace the much loved Jenny Poole who had been the manager's secretary at Coventry City for 42 years. With City not selling as many season tickets as last season and home attendances not in the numbers every game that there were for the Leeds game, there is not any extra money in the club and the City manager is philosophical. Speaking to the CT, Boothroyd said: "Sometimes you need to bring somebody in to liven things up but as of now I'm very happy with what I have got. "Because of injuries I don't think we have had a full squad to choose from yet and that's very encouraging. Ben Turner, who was arguably our best player for the first couple of months, has been out for six weeks and we've got people like Sammy Clingan and David Bell coming back so its an exciting to think where we'll be when everybody is available. It's a fine balance because bringing in new players can upset the dynamic of the group so I'm not in a rush to start banging at the Chairman's door saying "can we have money for this player"."He's supported me in other things I've asked for, making sure that the infrastructure is right and we have got the right staff in the right places and that's what's really important."
